Are you looking to enhance your looks? The dermal filler Restylane is a completely natural substance which achieves a visible long-lasting aesthetic result. Restylane products are sterile gels consisting of non-animal stabilised Hyaluronic Acid injected into the skin to improve:
Hyaluronic
Acid holds water, hydrating and giving volume to the skin. Since its
launch in 1996 Restylane has been used safely in over 2 million treatments
worldwide. In the UK, the Restylane market has grown by 24% in 2005,
and in the first quarter of 2006 has already grown by 39%.
Restylane adds volume to your skin without effecting your natural expression.
It is non-permanent and is absorbed naturally over time so it is your
choice as to when to have further treatment to maintain the effect.
Radiesse is the newest non-surgical facial contouring filler that delivers an immediate, longer lasting result. Whether you’re longing to reverse the common signs of aging or address a health issue that otherwise would require an invasive treatment, you have more options in looking and feeling better with Radiesse™. Developed with safety and longevity in mind, Radiesse is a new generation injectable filler that offers superior versatility for both cosmetic and reconstructive use without surgery. What sets Radiesse apart from other dermal fillers? The answer is in its durability, longevity, and versatility. The unique composition of Radiesse provides immediate visual improvement common with other fillers, along with the benefit of long-lasting results. This is because Radiesse is made of very tiny, smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres. The microspheres (particles) form a scaffold through which your body’s own collagen grows, and this produces the desired long-term effect. These unique advantages make Radiesse the ideal choice for facial shaping and contouring. Radiesse’s
unique contouring ability allows physicians to treat large areas of
the face in one procedure. For the first three months after injection,
Radiesse initially performs as a filler substance by plumping up the
skin. Then thanks to its collagen-generating properties, Radiesse actually
stimulates new tissue development for extended correction for up to
12 to 24 months.
Treatments
should only be given after consultation with our Doctor, who will be
able to advise you on which dermal filler treatment is best suited to
you. Common reactions that are short lived include redness, swelling,
discomfort, bruising and tenderness at the injection site. Our
qualified Doctor who has been trained to use the correct procedure performs
the treatment. As
with all injections you will feel some discomfort. It may be that you
notice a brief burning sensation at the injection site. An ice pack
applied after the treatment will help calm the skin. If necessary, your
practitioner can also give you a local anaesthetic. The
most common side effects include injection related side effects at the
site of the injection such as bleeding, tenderness or pain, redness,
bruising, or swelling. These effects generally resolve in 2 –
6 days. If you answer yes to any of the questions below: Have you got deep folds between your nose and your mouth? Have you got folds around the corners of your mouth? Have you got wrinkles in your cheeks or around your chin? Have you got sunken cheeks? Is
your skin loose and lacking elasticity? The
average treatment takes about 30 minutes, depending on the area to be
treated. If local anaesthesia is required, allow for an hour. Therefore,
this can easily be done during a lunch hour.
